I was just out doing a little surfing and I found a link to this marvelous flickr set of pictures. Design ideas from 40 years ago, and some of them are so cool! They are not simplified, and the details are just marvelous.
There are a few sites of vintage knit & crochet patterns that are past copyright dates so they are free. But there are a few people that are charging for them, I think that's crappy. If I find one of the links I have hidden in my favorites folders I will pass it on.
